§47-1163.


§47-1163.
   
   The TISRAD Committee shall conduct its research in conjunction with
   the "Motor Transportation Safety, Education and Economic Development
   Research Foundation", a tax-exempt, nonprofit association formed to
   promote and develop the interests of the motor transportation needs of
   the State of Oklahoma in its relations with the public and private
   sectors of the motor transportation industry or any like entity or
   organization. The TISRAD Committee in conjunction with the Associated
   Motor Carriers or any like entity or organization and the Motor
   Transportation Safety, Education and Economic Development Research
   Foundation or any like entity or organization shall strive to increase
   Oklahoma's presence as a national motor transportation distribution
   center, and to develop the highest possible standard of transportation
   service as being necessary to the prosperity and progress of the
   people of the State of Oklahoma. The TISRAD Committee shall authorize
   those state agencies it deems necessary to contract with the
   Foundation or the Association or any like entity or organization to
   provide the necessary research projects from data provided by those
   state agencies and other private sector groups in developing Oklahoma
   as a "National Motor Transportation Center". Any state contract issued
   pursuant to this act shall contain a provision for a compliance audit
   by a certified public accountant. The Office of Public Affairs shall
   provide oversight as provided by the Oklahoma Central Purchasing Act.
   Provided further, the TISRAD Committee is not constrained in any
   manner to limit its research efforts exclusively to those provided by
   the Motor Transportation Safety, Education and Economic Development
   Research Foundation.
