§47-12-206.
   
   (a) No person shall sell or offer for sale or operate on the highways
   any motor vehicle registered in this state and manufactured or
   assembled after the effective date of this Code unless it is equipped
   with at least two stop lamps meeting the requirements of Section
   12-219, except that a motorcycle, motor-driven cycle or truck tractor
   manufactured or assembled after said date shall be equipped with at
   least one stop lamp meeting the requirements of said Section 12-219.
   
   (b) No person shall sell or offer for sale or operate on the highways
   any motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer registered in this state and
   manufactured or assembled after the effective date of this Code unless
   it is equipped with electrical turn signals meeting the requirements
   of Section 12-219. This paragraph shall not apply to any motorcycle or
   motor-driven cycle.
