§47-7-210.
   
   The payment of a judgment arising out of an accident or the payment
   upon such judgment of an amount equal to the maximum amount which
   could be required for deposit under this article shall, for the
   purposes of this article, release the judgment debtor from the
   liability evidenced by such judgment, provided that he has filed proof
   of financial responsibility.
