§43A-2-223.
A. The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services shall
be responsible for compiling a report detailing its management
information needs related to delivery of behavioral health services
under the authority of the Department. The report shall be submitted
to the Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the
President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Chairman of the House Mental
Health Committee and the Chairman of the Senate Human Resources
Committee by July 1, 1999.
B. The report shall, at a minimum, include the following:
1. Current system capacity and resources;
2. Current system problems and deficits;
3. Data needs of the Department and its service providers;
4. Resources needed for data analysis by the Department and its
service providers;
5. Identification of overlap between the Department's management
information systems and other funding sources like the Oklahoma Health
Care Authority;
6. A plan for minimizing duplication of effort; and
7. Projected cost for a system upgrade for the Department and its
contractors.
C. The Department shall convene a task force to compile such report.
Membership of the task force shall include, but not be limited to, the
following:
1. A representative from the Department's central office;
2. Two representatives from institutions of the Department;
3. Two community mental health center nonprofit contractors;
4. Two substance abuse service contractors;
5. One community mental health center prevention service contractor;
6. One community substance abuse prevention contractor;
7. Two domestic violence service providers;
8. One state-operated community mental health center; and
9. A representative from the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.
